Isa Khoury is a recent graduate of Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and a Language Citation in Modern Standard Arabic.
During the summer of 2014, Isa studied at the Institute for American Universities in Aix-en-Provence, France. He pursued a curriculum focused on French influences in North Africa, and on the resulting post-colonial literature. Then, during the fall semester of his senior year, Isa studied at the University of Jordan, in Amman.
Although Isa’s curriculum in Jordan was arranged through a Middlebury College program, his studies were conducted entirely in Arabic. They focused on the ongoing refugee and migrant situation, emerging questions of Jordanian national identity, coupled with a study of Modern Standard Arabic and the Levantine dialect. In addition to his academic programs, while he was in Jordan, Isa volunteered with the Collateral Repair Project, an after-school organization devoted to tutoring refugee children.
During his years at Harvard, Isa worked as the Director of Sales with WHRB, Harvard Radio Broadcasting. His duties included selling radio advertising to merchants, and managing others. He also worked with the Harvard Law School Office of Career Services. There, he researched clerkship opportunities throughout the country, and organized the Early Interview Program for Harvard Law students.
Prior to joining to Wood LLP, Isa traveled to China and taught English to elementary school children in Dongguan, China.
At Wood LLP, Isa assists attorneys in many of the firm’s practice areas. He provides assistance in factual research, copy editing and cite checking, publication and client-related document
management, court filings and factual analysis.
